Fairy in the Window

It's hard enough getting ready for work without a fairy flitting around in the bedroom. I'm not sure how she got in, but I also saw a clothing moth today. Time to lock up the woolens. It must really be spring.

Re-starting the 365 Project

I'm restarting this project thanks to my cell phone's ability to take fairly good photos. It allows me to spontaneously capture images that excite my eye. Some are done with a digital camera as well. All that photo snapping has stirred up other creative juices, so some drawing and painting are happening too.

OH NO! IBROKE MY TOE!

While scavenging some really nice

bifold doors, I dropped them. Ow! My shoe
had a strap across the toes that added protection.

Since there's really no treatment for a broken toe,
I "buddy taped" it with a lot of padding and made
my own walking casts from this pair of Crock
knock-offs, and some cheap WalMart sandals.
Here's my toe going for a ride - checking out the
live oak trees which are still trying to recover
from the thing.

Here's a photo of a sago palm that survived the floodwaters.
It was planted in a big pot - elevated - which saved it's life.

It's twin, planted in the ground, and submerged for five or six days, didn't make it.

This Harley was parked outside a coffee
shop in Gretna. I was careful not to touch it. Don wants an 8 x 10 print for his office.

This bike was parked on the sidewalk next door. There's nothing like a chromy Harley!

MY NIECE WAS MARRIED YESTERDAY

The photographer and others took lots of pics. I stuck with

things that caught my eye.

A young relative explored the rose garden.

Sitting right in front of us were a couple who are
lifelong friends of the bride's parents. The woman is
an accomplished pastry chef and made the amazing
wedding cake.
I loved the hairdos. You can just see the bride's veil off in the distance.
